Theatre collective Volleksbühn is back after almost a year’s absence with a new, English-language production
Sally Merres directs Isaac Bush in “Every Brilliant Thing” by Duncan Macmillan. The play is described as “a one-man-dramedy recounting a young boy’s attempt at making sense of adult unhappiness after his mother’s suicide.” He makes her a list of everything worth living for and now, as an adult man, he roams his mother’s run-down mansion, digging up scraps of his old list and regaining the courage to face his own demons.
Sally Merres has worked with such luminaries of the Luxembourg theatre scene as Frank Hoffmann, Pol Cruchten, Claude Frisoni and Myriam Muller. The charismatic Isaac Bush, based out of New York, is familiar to Luxembourg audiences particularly for his roles in Anne Simon productions including “Trail of Crumbs” and “Stupid Fucking Bird”.
The play is being performed at a private residence in Cents. Tickets can be reserved in advance by email: [email protected]
Due to popular demand, an additional show has been scheduled for Wednesday 13 November.
