Luxembourg’s national statistics bureau published the figures on Friday to mark France’s national holiday, which is 14 July.

The French represent nearly 1 in 5 of the capital’s residents, but just 0.6% of Bettendorf’s population.

About 15% of French nationals living in Luxembourg were born in the grand duchy, Statec said.
