According to a government statement, the Cube Luxembourg Institute for High Performance in Sports will house a research and analysis department, as well as the Sports Medicine Research Laboratory of the Luxembourg Institute of Health, the Luxembourg Institute of Research in Orthopedics, Sports Medicine and Science and the IOC Research Center of Excellence for Prevention of Injury and Protection of Athletes Health.

Differdange commune owns the land on which the centre will be built and is overseeing its construction and pre-financing.
