Champ Cargosystems, which provides tech solutions for air freight, plans to cut 10 jobs, according to the union. That’s around 10% of the Luxembourg workforce, comprised of 113 employees.
LCGB is opposed to this decision, given that since December 2020 it had been working on a job retention plan. It expressed concerns that "the company is aiming neither more nor less than to quickly slash the workforce through a social plan."
Management reportedly spoke of the need to reduce costs quickly.
Champ Cargosystems is owned by Sita Cargo (51%) and Cargolux (49%).
