The frequency of rail lines in Luxembourg will increase starting 25 May, impacting lines 90, 70, 60, 50, 30 and 10. The Luxembourg Saarbrücken Express will operate seven times per day and three times at the weekend. The Gare Lorraine Express will be adapted in line with TGV timetables. By the latest count, 43 people are in hospital (compared to 55 reported on 23 May), including 7 in intensive care (down from 8 on Saturday). A total of 915 patients who tested positive for covid-19 have been discharged from hospital (compared to 912).
Since the beginning of the coronavirus outbreak, a total of 67,729 tests have been carried out (up from 66,653).

Luxembourg’s government adopted has issued a regulation freezing all rent increases for housing until the end of the year 2020. Landlords may reduce rent or agree to stagger payments for tenants facing financial difficulties. The announcement forms part of a series of housing-related measures to counter the economic crisis caused by measures to curb the covid-19 pandemic. From 1 April, rent subsidies were increased and on Wednesday, the cost-of-living allowance was doubled. Also on Wednesday, the government announced up to €800m in additional financial support for companies and individuals.
