Sport: Luxembourg Touch returned from Belgium a winner.
The Grand Duchy’s national touch rugby team has won its first international competition. Luxembourg Touch beat Kituro Touch to take the “St Nicolas cup”.
Before its victory over the Belgian club, Luxembourg Touch, which is part of the Rugby Club of Luxembourg, recovered from a first round loss to TR91 of the Paris region.
Team captain Edoardo Angioni said in a press statement: “Having over half the squad being under 20 shows that we are getting younger players into the club that can enable us to be competitive in these international competitions.”
The St Nicolas cup was held 5 December near Brussels.
