Dr Susanne Arend of ChangeFocus, which has just joined the Paperjam Club (part of the same company as Delano)
The owner of new Paperjam Club member ChangeFocus, Dr Susanne Arend, talks about why she joined the club and what her firm does.
Paperjam Club: Could you please, in a few words, describe for us your company’s activity ?
Dr Susanne Arend: Working in Business Psychology I help people, teams, and organisations with change and transition processes. This can be challenging at times and often people are unclear of the next steps. Through a consultative process, I facilitate a way forward by offering new perspectives (a fresh way to look at things). That's my slogan, ChangeFocus!
Why the name 'ChangeFocus'? For me, it represents the essence of my work and philosophy. I help people develop, grow, and master their challenges. I support teams developing their team spirit and being successful. Seeing the end-result, a cohesive and productive team, is very fulfilling.
I support organisations with their transitions and changes, which can sometimes be complex and emotionally draining for those involved. I coach, challenge and consult leaders and their teams to drive organisational change. It is thoroughly rewarding to know that my toolbox of methods challenges people's thinking, and their behaviours and attitudes, and helps them master their challenges and chart a way forward.
After many years in private industry as an Organisational Development and Change specialist I have decided to apply my experience and knowledge and start my own Organisational Development and Change Business in Luxembourg. Having lived and worked in Australia, UK, France and Germany I enjoy the international business environment in Luxembourg and find it an exciting market to participate in.
You have just joined the Paperjam Club. What convinced you to do so?
I was introduced to Paperjam by a Luxembourg-based friend of mine and felt welcomed straight away. I enjoyed some Paperjam events, so I decied to become a member. I really like the variety and interesting range of topics offered by Paperjam events. I find them informative, creative, clever and inspiring, and a great place to network.
What in particular are you looking to get from the Club? And what does your organisation have to offer to other Club members?
Personally, I have already made some interesting contacts and I hope to meet more people at the various upcoming Paperjam events. On that note, I would like to invite Paperjam members to some workshops I am presenting on behalf of Paperjam in February and June 2019 on managing change in the VUCA world.
I look forward to these two workshops, meeting more Paperjam members, and helping you make a change in your business. In the meantime, to find out more about ChangeFocus please visit my website and feel free to contact me. www.cf-hr.info
