The 37e is a high-throughput satellite, which are notably more powerful than satellites launched a decade ago.
This one will serve mobile and telecommunications firms, among other customers, in Africa, Europe and the Americas, Luxembourg-headquartered Intelsat said in a press release.
The 37e satellite was originally scheduled to launch several weeks earlier, but the mission was aborted at the last minute, as SpaceNews reported on 5 September.
