The exhibition will take place from 20 October 2020 to 10 April 2021 in a specially designed pavilion.

The event is set around the theme “connecting minds, creating the future” and therefore the Luxembourg contribution aims to bring together artistic minds in a collaboration. The artistic committee in charge of the cultural component has selected the following artists to represent the grand duchy:

  •     Julie Conrad (design)
  •     Ady El Assal (movie)
  •     Guy Helminger (literature)
  •     Karolina Markiewicz & Pascal Piron (visual art)
  •     Simone Mousset (dance)
  •     Patrick Muller (music)
  •     Renelde Pierlot (theatre)

The artists will be expected to develop a collaborative artistic proposal and to consult with the architect and the scenographer, to create a concept which reflects aspects of Luxembourg’s cultural scene.

The works of these artists will be exhibited, shown or performed in Luxembourg and Dubai in the form of residences for research and creation from January 2018 to Aril 2021. An announcement providing further details about the works is expected mid-2018.
