Last year, the winner was Governance.io.
KPMG Luxembourg and Lhoft, the organisers of the awards, received 160 applications from 46 countries. Seven finalists competed for the prize.
The winner is AIFMaps
The start-up AIFMaps from Cyprus wins the fintech start-up award. Created in 2012, it offers “a decision management system for AIF boards and executive teams that ensures strategic and tactical alignment before, during and after business meetings.”
Two Israeli winners
Click-Ins offers insurance companies military-grade technology which detects and predicts fraud.
PayKey, created in 2014, has developed a payment system which “enables mobile users to transfer money to anyone within any social platform.”
Favourite prize
The jury’s favourite is CarPay Diem.
Created in 2016, the app is connected to gas stations of several networks which allow the driver to pay via phone.
Female prize goes to Blanco Services
The prize for female talents in fintech goes to Blanco Services, a Dutch start-up for wealth and asset managers.
