Lux-Airport issued a statement Wednesday saying that air traffic could be affected from 5pm on 8 June to 10pm 7 July.

“During this period, the airport has limited capacity and expects delays in departures and arrivals. Furthermore, flight cancellations may be possible,” the airport operator wrote.

It added that delays are expected on 9 June and recommended that passengers check their flight status with their airline and adapt their travel plans accordingly. If airlines have not announced flight cancellations, passengers are advised to arrive at the airport on time.

According to the Air Navigation Administration, air traffic restrictions are applied during the transition period as safety requirement.
