The government’s Media and Communications Service has already moved in to the Grund building, which was Amazon’s first office in Luxembourg. The company will shift staff out of its Rives de Clausen site over the coming weeks, an Amazon source said.

The company did not say if it would let new space, but it has been a major tenant along avenue John F Kennedy for several years.

Amazon employs roughly 2,200 staff in Luxembourg, making it one of the grand duchy’s largest and fastest-growing private sector employers. The company employed 1,000 staff locally back in 2015; on Monday morning its jobs site advertised 496 posts.
