An Amazon employee is pictured at a Caritas foodbank in Luxembourg, the e-commerce company said in a post published on its “About Amazon” blog on 23 July.

The day this photo was taken, “Amazonian volunteers helped cleaning the shelves” at the foodbank. “They sorted out the food, cleaned and filled the shelves,” the company wrote.

In June, “Amazonians fundraised more than €5,000 for the Syrian [refugees], which is enough to feed 100 families for a month.” Staff members also plan to aid the roughly “500 Syrian refugees [who] are now living in Luxembourg,” the company reported.

Amazon employs around 2,000 people at its EU hub in the grand duchy.
