Amazon stated:

“By the start of 2018, there were over 2,000 full-time Amazonians working in Luxembourg, up by more than 500 in a year. We expect hundreds of additional roles to be added during 2018.”

The figure was revealed in an Amazon blog post on 25 May about Amazon receiving the Luxembourg-America Business Award in New York earlier this year.

The company employed around 1,000 staff here in 2015.

Amazon employed 566,000 people worldwide at the end of last year, reported GeekWire.
