Paying quickly and securely is the promise made by Visa, which announced the arrival of Apple Pay for BGL BNP Paribas customers in Luxembourg. This new service uses Visa's contactless technology and tokenisation system (secure payments). However, you must have Apple Pay on iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad or Mac in order to be able to use the service.

Customers will be able to pay with Apple Pay in stores, restaurants, taxis and many other places. When purchases are made through applications or on the web through Safari with Apple Pay, there is no need to manually fill out long forms or enter shipping and billing information several times. Each purchase is authenticated with a simple glance or a simple press of face ID or touch ID, or the device's authentication code.

Finally, transaction security is ensured because the real card numbers are not stored on the device nor on Apple’s servers. Instead, a unique, device-specific account number is assigned, encrypted and securely stored in the secure element component of your device. Each transaction is authorised with a unique dynamic security code. As a result, account and card data are never shared, providing an additional layer of security for digital payments.
