As the name suggests, the gallery is located inside a former house which has been reclaimed by innovative artist Joel Rollinger and painted black on the outside.

Visitors should not be put off by the dour exterior, however, as inside each room is painted in a different vibrant colour.

The exhibition space features works from more than 50 artists working in different genres, all of which will be on display from 1 June to 1 July.

The project is not dissimilar to Rollinger’s project in a house destined for demolition in Lorentzweiler, which he and partners painted white and used as a backdrop for works of art.

This time, he has pooled his resources and ideas with Linda Blaise and the City of Luxembourg, using his unconventional approach to make art accessible to the wider public.

The gallery can be visited Thursdays and Fridays from 4pm to 9pm and on weekends from 2pm to 9pm.

It is located at 56 rue de la Semois, L-2533, Luxembourg-Hollerich.
