In 2017 Luxembourg experienced a milder and dryer autumn than the historic average Pexels

From September to November 2017, 217.6l/m2 of rain fell at the Meteolux weather station in Findel, 9% less than the average recorded from 1981 to 2010.

Rainfall was 12.5% higher than the historic average in September, while in October Luxembourg recorded just 40% of the normal rainfall.

Despite the cold snap at the end of November, Luxembourg recorded a milder than average autumn.

While, the average temperature was 9.7°C, the highest temperature was recorded on 5 September when the mercury tipped 23.1°C and the lowest was on 18 November when it dipped to -1.5°C.

There were also only six days of frost recorded, compared to the historic average of 10.
