Barnier was in town to discuss Luxembourg’s priorities for the post-Brexit EU with the government and parliament. But Barnier did have some words to say about the state of negotiations with the UK on its withdrawal, insisting that the deal signed last November was the “best possible” outcome and that it was not up for renegotiation. “We must prepare for all possible scenarios,” he said.
