The Grand Duchy earned first place in the annual beach rugby tournament organised by Walferdange Rugby Club over the week.
“Luxembourg Touch”, part of Rugby Club Luxembourg, beat out four competing teams, all from France, to secure five wins and one draw.
Touch rugby is a non-impact version of the sport, played six-a-side, often in mixed-gender teams, on a half-size rugby pitch.
Luxembourg Touch holds practice sessions and matches on Tuesday evenings at Stade Michel Wagner in Weimerskirch. Sign up via the club’s website or Facebook page.
