The three-day visit, at the invitation of Grand Duke Henri and Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa, will include visits to the Herrenberg military academy in Diekirch, the University of Luxembourg and the biodiversity centre in Remerschen.

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are accompanied by deputy prime minister Didier Reynders as well as regional government leaders from Belgium’s Walloon, Flemish and German speaking communities. They will have a working lunch with deputy prime ministers Étienne Schneider and François Bausch and a number of other cabinet ministers on Tuesday.

Tuesday afternoon’s programme for the king and queen includes a visit to the chamber of deputies and a walk along the Corniche in the capital’s old town before the royals attend a meeting at city hall. A gala dinner at the grand-ducal palace will round off Tuesday’s programme.
