Ten councillors from the commune of Bissen voted in favour, while only one, a member of the CSV, was opposed. The latter deplored the lack of information and details.

Everything pointed to a happy outcome. Mayor David Viaggi, as he reiterated during the meeting, said that Google had been very attentive to the comments of the inhabitants. And that, led by the ministries and the commune, the American tech giant had modified many details of its project, for example regarding the height of the buildings. Noise and luminosity had also been largely taken into account.

Economy minister Franz Fayot (LSAP) announced via Paperjam that the entire government supported the project. And that it even occupied an important place in the government's digital strategy and its orientation towards a “data-driven economy”.

After the failures of Knauf and Fage's industrial projects, it was almost unimaginable for Google to fail.

Relief must therefore be certain. But there is still a long way to go. An implementation project must now be filed, various studies must be conducted, including one on the environmental impact, and a commodo investigation must be initiated. Once the final agreements of the ministries and the commune have been obtained, the work can begin.
