According to a specialised online site, the Munich brand Konen, which has two stores--one in Munich and the other in Luxembourg--is expected to make it official on Monday morning that it has been acquired by another well-known German brand, Breuninger.

As the Tageblatt explains, Bram was born in Luxembourg from the business acumen of Jean Bram through the opening of City Concorde in 1974, with 4,000m2 of retail space. Ten years later, the Bram brand over 11,000m2 had been ceded to the Munich residents, while the family retains control of the shopping mall through a civil company, Bram Concorde.

In 2018, the City Concorde opened a new extension of 12,000m2, which brought the total to more than 55,000m2.

Breuninger was founded in 1881 and today has 5,500 employees in 11 stores plus an online store. The fashion brand, which sells more than 1,200 brands, also operates 20 restaurants, bars and confectionery and offers around 15 client services.
