The deal was formally inked by Guy Daleiden of the Luxembourg Film Fund and Olivier Nicoloff, Canadian ambassador to the grand duchy, in Ottawa on 19 April.

This accord updates a previous agreement that was struck in 1996, according to a film fund press release. Since then, Luxembourg and Canada have co-produced films including 2010’s “La dernière fugue” and this year’s “Troisièmes Noces”. “Dreamland” and “Justice Dot Net” are set to shoot in Luxembourg later this year.

The signing ceremony was held as part of a trade mission led by Xavier Bettel, the grand duchy’s prime minister.

Bettel and members of the Luxembourg delegation meet with Canada’s finance minister on Thursday.
