All the LSAP candidates who are standing in the local elections in the capital on 8 October 2017. LSAP

For the first time, they have not one leading candidate, but two, to promote gender equality.

One is Marc Angel, born in 1963, has been a local councilor since 1993 and an MP since 2004. The other leading candidate is Cathy Fayot, born in 1963. She has been a local councilor since 2011.

Two other current councilors, Tom Krieps and Armand Drews, are running again as well. The current vice presidents of the local party group are also standing for the elections: Joanne Goebbels, teacher at the Athénée, and Christophe Schiltz, member of the Council of State.

The LSAP candidate list is composed of 12 women and 15 men; the average age is 47 years.

  • Armand Drews, retired, member of the local council;
  • Yolande Edjogo, backoffice in the financial sector;
  • Marc Franssens, employee of the Luxembourg town council;
  • Claire Geier Courquin, housewife; PhD in industrial engineering;
  • Joanne Goebbels, teacher;
  • Mickey Hardt, actor;
  • Roland Jaeger, jurist, mediator;
  • Ginette Jones, social worker, advisor in the ministry for employment;
  • Tom Krieps, lawyer, member of the local council;
