Although terms have yet to be revealed, the capital is already considering allowing restaurants and cafes to extend terraces into public spaces, based on the same model post-lockdown last spring. Information has already been announced by several media and confirmed by the city.

"It's a very good thing," for Horesca secretary general François Koepp, who requested it and thanked the City. "This will keep our employees safe and reassure customers," but also "revitalise the city", as was the case with the reopening last year. The federation hopes that this initiative will serve as a "model" for other cities in the country. Its preparing a letter to ask them.

When asked, Differdange confirmed it was considering a “similar approach”. The departments concerned are looking into the issue.
