According to a defence ministry statement issued Wednesday, Luxembourg launched a tender for access to strategic civil air transport capacity provided by Cargolux. In March 2020, it extended the capacity to all member nations of the European Air Transport Command (EATC) and the Movement Control Center Europe (MCCE), two organisations of which Luxembourg is also a member.

The first delivery was operated between Zhengzhou in China and the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. Further flights are expected to follow.
