The new site is expected to house the company’s administrative staff and training organisation, including crew training and its two Boeing 747 simulators.

It will be connected to the maintenance hangar by a glass bridge.

The move will enable the freight airline to consolidate all 1,400 Luxembourg staff on one site for the first time.

As well as office space and parking, the new HQ will feature conference and meeting facilities, cafeteria and a glass wall enabling visitors to watch training on the simulators.

It will be constructed and owned by lux-Airport, the management company of Luxembourg Airport and Cargolux signed a long-term lease contract.

The first earth works are set to begin at the end of 2017.
