Among the events are walk-ins at the Bee Creative maker space (for 8 to 25-year-olds), app-building classes, specific coding workshops for girls and workshops on information security.

EU code week is a volunteer-led movement, running from 7-22 October. Its aim is to make increase peoples’ exposure to coding and inspire people of all ages to use code to bring their ideas to life.

Since first launching in 2013, last year’s edition saw close to 1 million people participate across 50 countries globally.
