Already rail operators CFL offer free wifi to customers during station opening hours in Luxembourg City, Ettelbruck Bettembourg, Pétange, Mersch, Rodange, Dudelange-Ville, Esch, Differdange, Belval University and Pfaffenthal-Kirchberg.

In a press release published on Monday, CFL said that studies are underway to look at further expanding free wifi to Dommeldange, Walferdange, Diekirch, Troisvierges, Lamadelaine, Wiltz, Dudelange-Centre, Kleinbettingen and Kautenbach.

The group also announced it has updated its smartphone application with new features, including a door-to-door search tool, which will identify the nearest train station to any given address in the country.

The app can be downloaded for iOS and Android handsets.
