The 55 year old became CEO of his family’s firm in 1996, and also serves on the boards of several construction and property subsidiaries, as well as two investment firms and his sector’s trade group.
The “Top 100” economic influencers list is released every other year by Paperjam magazine, which is published by the same company as Delano. The rankings were determined by an independent jury and not by Paperjam’s editorial staff.
This year’s honourees were announced during a ceremony on Tuesday evening.
Paperjam’s 2016 ten most influential economic decision-makers were:

9. Carlo Thill of BGL BNP Paribas, a bank, and the ABBL, Luxembourg’s banking trade group
8. Fernand Ernster of Ernster, a chain of bookshops, and the CLC, Luxembourg’s trade confederation
7. Jos Sales of Sales-Lentz, a transport operator and travel agency
6. Jean-Louis Schiltz, an attorney and guest professor, and former cabinet minister
5. Françoise Thoma of BCEE, the state savings bank
4. Michèle Detaille of Alipa, a packaging and industrial equipment group
3. John Parkhouse of PwC Luxembourg, a consultancy
2. Paul Mousel and Guy Harles of Arendt & Medernach, a law firm
1. Marc Giorgetti of Félix Giorgetti, a general contractor
