That’s according to the monthly consumer confidence survey released by the Luxembourg Central Bank (BCL) on 28 March. The survey measures households’ “expectations over the next 12 months” on a seasonally adjusted basis.

The indicator is made up of four components. The “Expected general economic situation in Luxembourg” sub-index was down slightly from 3 in February to 2 last month. “Perception of financial situation of households” rose from -1 in February to 1 in March. “Expected financial situation of households” gained from 5 to 7. And “Intended spending on major purchases” improved from -11 to -2.

The overall consumer confidence indicator rose from -1 in February to 2 in March 2019. Over the past two years, its highest score was 3 (in January 2018) and lowest score was -3 (in April 2018 and June 2018).
