While restaurants have had to close their front-of-house business in line with government policy to stop the spread of coronavirus, they are permitted to maintain a kitchen staff and delivery or take-away operations.

In his article for Paperjam, Fabien Rodrigues notes that delivery service Grouplunch, for instance, is continuing to operate “under strict measures to protect the health of you and our personnel”. WeDely has also introduced a “contactless drop-off service” whereby the delivery driver calls customers, so they can pick up their order from their front door.

L’Hostellerie du Grünewald in Dommeldange is doing take-away. Orders can be placed by phone at 2451 4920.

Vins Fins in the Grund is pre-preparing a home delivery service for customers in the evenings for the Luxembourg-City area.

Come à la Maison is delivering to Hollerich, Cessange, Bonnevoie, Gasperich, Belair, Limpertsberg and Cloche d’or.

Fans of Charles Sandwiches and Cocottes can order their favourite dishes via Wedely.

The Manso group, whose outlets include JFK, El Barrio and Piri Piri up in Kirchberg has launched its own www.foodambulance.lu platform, which requires registration.
