Led by international IT services provider Halian in partnership with Telindus, Getronics, Arhs Cube, and Devoteam, the Actium-IO consortium will implement the EIB’s IT infrastructure roadmap and deliver a range of services. Halian and its partners will dedicate over 40 IT infrastructure operations staff to the EIB project. They will cover activities including server operating systems engineering and administration services, and datacentre support and infrastructure asset management services. It could potentially include moving parts of the scope to managed services mode, establishing a software-defined data centre, enabling 24x7 support, and near-shoring certain services.

The agreement covers an initial four-year contract, that may be extended to potentially seven years in duration, Halian said in a press release. Over 5,000 EIB users require technology services across a network of local and regional offices.

Razvan Rujoiu, head of IT Infrastructure and Operations at EIB, said that the bank’s agenda is led by innovation, flexibility and efficiency. “To achieve our strategic goals in the short and long-term, we need reliable, high-achieving and trusted partners.” Halian has been working with the EIB for the last ten years, delivering what it calls “valued results”. The company’s CEO, Levon Antonian, said that Halian was delighted the bank had “decided to continue our strategic relationship through an exceptionally strong consortium of companies.”
