Responding to a parliamentary question by MPs Carole Hartmann and André Bauler (both DP), ministry advisor Tom Theves wrote that the agency actively supported 283 entrepreneurs and 64 innovative startups were created with its support.

“Luxinnovation identified 101 new innovative startup creations in 2018, compared with 68 in 2015. The total number of innovative startups established under five years ago in Luxembourg in 2019 was estimated by Luxinnovation at more than 350 companies,” he wrote.

Luxinnovation also manages the Luxembourg City Incubator and House of Biohealth, and acceleration programme Fit4start. In 2018, the programme attracted 394 applications, up from 224 in 2016. In 2019, it will focus on startups in the space sector.
