When was your party established and who founded it?
The party was formed on 5 July 1902 as the Social Democratic Party and reformed after the Second World War as the Luxembourg Socialist Workers’ Party (LSAP).
What, if any, are your links to the European blocs?
LSAP is affiliated with the Party of European Socialists (PES), with the Progressive Alliance (PA) and its elected MEPs sit in the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats (S&D group).
What do you consider the most important issues facing voters in Luxembourg?
We run the 2019 European elections campaign with a commitment for a better Europe. For European policies which put people, social rights, the environment and the public interest at the centre of their concerns.
Name one thing you hope to accomplish if any of your candidates are successful?
A revigorated solidarity within the European borders and also beyond them.
