Xavier Bettel’s note of caution while delivering the government’s coronavirus exit strategy on Wednesday struck a note with the Delano journalists. They were also impressed with Angela Merkel’s calm and precise explanation of how model observations about virus spread and its impact on the health system will determine Germany’s exit strategy.

Jim Kent then asked about the criticism of employment minister Dan Kersch and his statements about the self-employed.

The decision to make the wearing of protective masks compulsory in public spaces as of Monday 20 April, and indeed, the effectiveness or not of masks, was also discussed.

And the Delano team also listed a series of things to do from the safety of home during confinement.
