Saturday's stunt was organised by members of young farmers’ association the “Landjugend” to thank resident consumers for buying local produce this year.
Decked out in lights, inflatable Santas, and other decorations, the cortège set out at 4pm and broke away into separate groups to cover as much of the country as possible. The itinerary included retirement and care homes, where vulnerable residents were being encouraged to shield from families because of the pandemic.
