The outfit provides training and support to independent board directors, and promotes “best practices in the field of corporate governance of companies and institutions”.

Feipel, specialised in insurance law, joined the law firm of Arendt & Medernach in 1994 and held a leadership post at its New York office between 2007 and 2012.

Since 2014 she has been an independent company board member. Feipel serves on the boards of Banque de Luxembourg, Lalux Assurances, the insurance outfit CNP Luxembourg, the construction firm CDCL and the insurer AIG Europe.

The election took place during the ILA’s annual general meeting on 18 June.
