F91 Dudelange and Progrès Niederkorn both have 18 points from seven matches at the top of the BGL Ligue

Niederkorn had been looking invincible so far this season, but after going in to half time at 1-1 they were undone by two goals from Dave Turpel early in the second half at Dudelange. Striker Aleksandre Karapetian managed to grab a goal back on 67 minutes, but when Matias was dismissed for a second bookable offence on 75 minutes it was always going to be difficult for the visitors to find an equalizer and the match ended 3-2 for Dudelange.

Both teams now have 18 points from seven matches, though Dudelange have a better goal difference (plus 17 compared to plus 15 for Niederkorn). They are four points clear of third place FC Hamm Benfica, who beat Hostert 2-0 at home. Hamm, the surprise package of the season so far, moved above Jeunesse Esch who could only manage a 1-1 draw at home with Rodange. The other Esch teams faced each other, with Fola winning 1-0 at bottom club US Esch and moving in to fifth place in the league table.

Elsewhere Differdange beat Racing Union 2-1, Pétange beat Strassen 2-1 and Mondorf beat lowly Rosport 3-2.
