The Centre Convict is owned by Lafayette, asset manager for Luxembourg‘s archdiocese. The property, which is located at 5 avenue Marie-Thérèse in Luxembourg City, is currently undergoing an urban planning consultation process organised by WW+ for the development and expansion of this area located near the central district (Ville Haute).

The property is marked by its proximity to historical and heritage landmarks, such as the Villa Baldauff (currently being renovated as a hotel), a chapel, and the fortress wall. It is also strategically located across from the city park, linking the property to the city centre as well as the Belair and Hollerich districts.

Four teams participated in the consultation to define the future of the Convict:

  • BeBunch & BWSTUDIO & OMGEVING
  • Christian Bauer & Associates Architects & +IMPAKT & AREAL
  • METAFORM Architects & City Tools & Agence Babylone
  • STEINMETZDEMEYER & Christophe Gautrand Architects

A jury, chaired by Christine Muller, selected the projects and files presented. The results of the consultation process will be presented on 20 April.
