Supplier JCDecaux has by mid-April to make the system fully functional again, during which time the service will be free to users.

Already the JCDecaux teams have made “their best efforts” to fix the problems users had encountered--from technical problems preventing proper access to the bikes to lack of reliability with transmitted information. During that time, some 1,800 bikes had already been modified.

The City has confirmed that although “problems such as lighting or the recognition of bikes in the station are resolved…the interruption of electrical assistance during the ride still needs to be corrected, adding that to correct this the supplier is replacing the cards in all bikes and reprogramming the system to ensure each of the elements interacts properly.
