Eggen said he was moved and had not at all been expecting the accolade. “Pictet is a human, corporate adventure and this title is, above all, for all of the company’s employees,” he said.

Pictet Technologies is a technology subsidiary for the Geneva-based asset management firm. It currently employs some 100 people in Luxembourg and was honourd at the 2019 “Great Place to Work” awards, highlighting companies which place employee well-being among their top priorities. Eggen launched the subsidiary in April 2016 in Belval. Prior to that he worked as director of development at Champ Cargosystems for seven years. He holds a master's degree in computer science from the University of Namur.

Runnersup were Georges Berscheid from Finologee, Christian Kettmann from the CFL and Roland Schoenauen from the Saint-Paul group.

The evening, which was hosted at PwC Luxembourg and organised by IT Nation, also saw the awarding of several prizes around IT:
