In an interview held with the Las Vegas Review Journal in June, Goldrake said that despite performing at Tropicana, across the street from fellow showman David Copperfield, he was optimistic that he can offer something different.

Goldrake credits his success to the stories he tells, which the audience can relate to. “The themes of the show are about subjects that matter to the spectators. Things we deal with in everyday life, be it self-deception, be it love, be it time or aging. People can relate to it on a personal level,” he was reported as saying.

Goldrake announced his Las Vegas move in 2015 before his wife and fellow performer, Abbey Lynn Albani, broke her neck after falling 10 feet during rehearsals for the show. According to the interview, she is in the process of recovery.
