In a picture shared by the not for profit, Maria Teresa stands in front of a bullet-riddled ambulance, holding a placard that reads #notatarget.
“As President of the Luxembourg Red Cross, this campaign is particularly close to my heart. Attacks on the sick, wounded and medical personnel constitute an intolerable violation of international humanitarian law and hinder the ability of humanitarian organisations to assist the most vulnerable,” the Grand Duchess said.
The campaign will begin on Thursday with the ambulance touring the country.
