According to the Royal Court’s press release, Grand Duchess Maria-Teresa underwent the scheduled operation on her injured knee on the morning of the 10 October at the Clinique d’Eich.

The statement said that the knee would be immobilised for “several weeks,” adding that the operation was a “success”.

Her recovery could complicate matters during the visit of Belgium’s King Philippe and Queen Mathilde from 15-17 October.
