The Luxembourg army paid tribute to the two non-commissioned officers who died following an explosion at the ammunition’s depot in Waldhaff last week.
Grand Duke Henri was joined by Prince Sébastien, minister for the armed forces François Bausch and head of the army general Alain Duschène at the Grand-Duc Jean barracks in Diekirch on Thursday as the army honoured the victims of the 14 February Waldhaff tragedy.
Colleagues and fellow soldiers as well as the families of the deceased were at the farewell ceremony. An investigation into the incident, in which two other NCOs were injured, is still ongoing.
