He is pictured with environment minister Carole Dieschbourg (Déi Gréng) at a meeting with Cristina Gallach, Spain’s high commissioner for Agenda 2030. Also attending were Luxembourg’s chief meteorologist, Dr. Andrew Ferrone, and the chief advisor at the environment ministry, Dr. André Weidenhaupt.

Talks focused on the economic, social and environmental aspects of climate change policy, Spanish-Luxembourg collaborations, and the exchange of best practices both at European and international level.

The grand duke later had dinner as a guest of King Felip VI and Queen Letizia and also visited the royal botanical gardens in the Spanish capital.
