The 1,000th bond was a $1.5bn Global Climate Awareness Bond issued by the European Investment Bank, the bourse said on 18 May. The 10 year bond pays 1.65%.

The bourse said that issuers have collectively raised “more than €500bn for green, social and sustainable development projects across the world” on the green exchange since it was founded in 2016.
