From 6am to 7am, the Luxembourg station will broadcast a live dawn chorus from St Anne’s Park and Bull Island in Dublin.

The unusual programme comes about thanks to a partnership with Irish radio broadcasters RTE and the UER.

“In perfect synchrony with (the sunrise) over the continent comes a wave of birdsong produced by millions and billions of beaks. It is the dawn chorus, the choir of the heart of dawn,” RTE presenter Derek Mooney wrote in a press release.

He went on to say that the dawn chorus is symbolic that the symphony of nature is accessible to everyone, regardless of our differences.

Luxembourg will be among a number of countries to broadcast the birdsong, alongside Russia, India, Canada, Iceland, Poland and England.
