Restrictions on movement orders and social distancing measures have severely disrupted the screening activities performed by the HIV Berodung service of the Luxembourg Red Cross. In order to maintain easy access to HIV testing for everyone, the HIV Berodung service is launching a free HIV self-test ordering and sending service.

As of Tuesday 14 April, anyone who wants to take an HIV test can simply contact the service and speak to a professional consultant, who will guide them through the process and answer questions relating to the self-test. The service is being offered free of charge and HIV Berodung says it will continue to maintain full confidentially.

The service can be contacted by telephone on 2755 4500 weekdays between 2 and 5pm or vial email: [email protected].

More information, in French, is available on the HIV Berodung website’s “Autotest” page.

Founded in 1988 to support people living with Aids, HIV Berodung is a national public health service for the prevention of HIV, hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections. It also provides psychosocial care for patients and fosters a living environment that meets their needs.
